Back into the Blogging mood

Hello there,
Finally I’m back on my blog, i do apologize that it took such a long time.
Since the last blog post about my stay in goes, the Netherlands many things have changed.
At the moment I’m living in guadalajara mexico together with my girlfriend and we are enjoying it very much.

We have been travelling already to various places here in Mexico, to the north of Jalisco (the region we are living ) and Zacatecas, a wonderful little city a bit more up north. This city is a sure colonial city with many beautiful houses and landscape views.

For working im at the moment working on some projects to introduce online marketing and social web marketing into the marketing plans here, from companies to politicians.
I’ll be blogging more about this work and as well some travels if we decide to make some.

Trip to and from work

What are people thinking while on the road to work?

That is one of the major points where I’m always thinking about. Maybe because I don’t have anything else to think about. Hahaha.

But if you really start wondering, where are the people thinking about while going to work.
Most of them are about 30 to 45 minutes commuting to work, no?
Many are reading books, writing on their papers, speaking in the phone or listening to music. I’m one of the persons who does all things, listening, reading, watching, writing and staring.
In general I try to do it all at the same time, but since that’s quiet hard to do, I just leave it

How do you get to work normally? By train, bus, metro, car or walking? Drop me a line in the comments.

Back from holidays

Ok, so I passed already my well deserved holidays, it went faster than I actually thought.
But there are a few positive points for this holidays

One is that my mom bought a new computer, in her case a new iMac. It’s only 20 inch but what a beautiful screen I have to say. It’s really splendid. Furthermore I took hervikd computer, the old white imac with an 17 I ch screen. This is not so bad either, it is a bit slower then my MacBook but at the end the extra screen real estate is worth it.
So now I’m actually with this computer at the airport in a supermarkt bag. You have to do something funny, isn’t? Hahaha
Furthermore I got her as well a new phone, the nokia 6555 fliphone. That one is kinda sweet as well I have to say. It is a very basic phone but then it has everything she needs in a phone: east menu, good screen and good looking. Of course it’s in her favorite color, red!! Hahaha

Furthermore I had the birthday of my grandma, as usual this was filled with elderly people. So quiet boring but at least she was happy so that’s great.
Now its up for the 95 years for her. What is quiet a feat I have to say.

So now I’m at the airport again and bored out of my head because the plane have a delay of about 3 hours. What is really irritating I have to say.

The best way to go freelance

What is the best to go freelance?
Is it still cooperate with your existing company but work on distance or is it to cut directly all your bands with the existing company and go from there?

And do time zones differ that much? For example would it be important to work in a different timezone if we are all working on the Internet anyway?

At the moment i’m working as a search engine marketing consultant, maybe in the future I would like to start something for myself. What is the best way to do this?
I would be for example quiet interested in the point that I could be working for the company on hourly basis. This in the beginning to still earn money on basis off the current relations.

Or should I say, I don’t care about it, I start my own company with on basis a well developed homepage and start from there. With some money into google adwords and the inclusion of analytics, I could be just earning decent money to live on.

And then I have my freedom about what I would like to do. Of course within the limits of the clients, but it will all depend on me.
Furthermore I could be getting into company consulting for comunication within the company. This to streamline communication flows within a company and to share the approriate information with the approriat groups. And all within the company on the internet or with local networks.

Anyway this is for the moment only a few thoughts. Let me know what you think and I’ll keep you updated about the progress on all of this.
